I'm in the process of writing a new track called Final Boss. It's kind of an epic dnb tune kind of telling the story of a final boss battle. So I thought rather than do my own samples I might rip some from a popular game to be more authentic.

Anyone got a suggestion for a game with a final boss with some stupid bravado and big speech? You know sort of "YOU CAN'T KILL ME! I AM INVICIBLE! AHAHAHAHAHA" and all that sort of rubbish. I'll then see if I can find it on YouTube. Unfortunately my mind has drawn a blank and I can't think of any cheesy sterotypical game boss type games I could search for.

You could try Heavenly Sword. The boss battles usually had a couple cutscenes with the boss taunting the player.

I quite liked the speech for the opening of Nier, I think it's used for a boss fight, but is referenced in the opening.

(Warning: bad language)


The game was dubbed pretty well I think, one of the things you'll find with a lot of Japanese games is that the dubs are painful. This was a breath of fresh air and is a pretty special game with a great soundtrack, but isn't very well recognised.

Thanks for the suggestions here guys. I checked all the links. I really couldn't find what I wanted having gone through 50 or so game vids. I settled for a clip from Dante's Inferno which is quite mega (and also funny for the immature mind) and a stupid cheesy ending clip from Boarderlands. Wasn't exactly right but they'll do the job. Thanks again for the suggestions.

He is an awesome character. I love that short film. Anyway, I made do and finished the track over the weekend so will put up a new thread now for anyone who wants to check it out.
