Nope! I don't believe it either

What's next, walking through walls?

Lol! Walking through walls is actually possible! But can only happen 1 in 1 billion billion power of 15 whatever! Yeah that's true! But not the invisible thing!

invisible people...
ACTUAL WITNESS:
Ya.. my husban couldn't find me but i was sitting on the couch, and i didn't change the channel on the TV, throw a chair at him, beat on his head, to prove i was here when he couldnt see me, i just sat there, doing nothing...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
just a thought, why didnt she throw something at her husband?!?! If i was invisible, i would definatley throw at least something at someone
You did what? For who?! For how many jellybeans?!?
I'd also like to know why the woman waiting outside the bathroom didn't notice a door open and then close by itself.
Oh, and there's a major fault in the theory:
Quote: "When spiritual essence gathers into very minute focal points of electrical charge (due to certain conditions), we have the creation of electrons. Science reports that such a cloud of free electrons will absorb all light entering it; it will not reflect nor refract light waves, nor are light waves able to pass through a human being. Consequently the observer’s eye sees nothing there and the person surrounded by such a cloud is invisible. Since light is necessary for human sight, when there are no reflected or refracted light waves bouncing off a person and hitting the observer’s retina, the person is not able to be seen and is not visible under normal circumstances. "
True, we see things by light reflecting off it. But we don't see through something that doesn't reflect light, we see black instead, black is the absence of light and so if this DID happen then we would see a silhoutte of the person. More so, they say light cannot PASS through a person so if the person was indeed there, for us to see the wall behind them the light must reflect off that wall and PASS through the 'invisible' person and into our eye. Impossible.
Here's a real world example, if it's light outside and you're in a pitch black room, you don't see through the walls of the room to see outside, instead, you simply see black.
Their theory must be wrong lol.
Another (theoretical) way to become invisible is to wrap or bend light around you, but that would require the gravitational force of a black hole to do that, or some other large mass like, John Goodman.
I can walk through walls after all. I've discovered this strange mysterious object with a handle on it and when I turn it and pull on it this big hole appears and I can go right through.
unbelieveably... i get a php error
as for invisibility, there is a flaw in your theory Exeat.
Glass ^_^
not going to go into the entire physics of why both you and thier theory are wrong - but just think about glass and other light reflecting material with a clear colour.
For the pedantically inclined that should be 'transparent' k
Anyway I thought the article was fascinating. Really. I too experience invisibility: If I close my eyes, everything around me is invisible.
However I have worked out the science behind why everything becomes invisible.
It's because, and I quote a respected scientific source here:
Quote: ""When spiritual essence gathers into very minute focal points of electrical charge (due to certain conditions), we have the creation of electrons. Science reports that such a cloud of free electrons will absorb all light entering it; it will not reflect nor refract light waves, nor are light waves able to pass through a human being. Consequently the observer’s eye sees nothing there and the person surrounded by such a cloud is invisible. Since light is necessary for human sight, when there are no reflected or refracted light waves bouncing off a person and hitting the observer’s retina, the person is not able to be seen and is not visible under normal circumstances. ""
Isn't science great - you can put a few scientific words into a sentence and make people believe anything
At most it would create a bit of distortion around you.
In any case , how does this explain people not hearing you?
Pah, to me it didn't really look like it was supposed to be a serious thing, more a shot at lots of these wild scientific theories tacky journalists love printing, right under the articles about gerbils eating their masters whole. But then again I guess it could be one of those such articles itself.
That's the same theory used in the TV show 'The Invisible Man' (awesome show). Good enough for a good TV show, but not good enough to convince me. But I'm not laughing at it-- I think it was a very interesting article. People attribute 'normality' to the inner workings of our universe far too much.
I remember hearing about some Chinese guy who made a glove that was nearly invisible. The secret was lots of tiny mirrors hitting off of each other at different angles. Don't know if it's true, or how "invisible" he was, but it seems possible to some extent.
There is actually a new type of clothing that uses fibre optics to make you invisible. I saw it as a raincoat.
That's impossible.
It would only work from one angle.
i could see how it would work though... i think
you'd need so many fibres though, i still think its just scientists de-limbing(theres a proper word for that) themselves to try and prove their stupid theorys.
I downloaded several videos of the fiberoptic raincoat as well, and an invisible cube. It was some research being done by a japanese university
I'll try to find the links again. It look sort-of invisible. More like a film projector on a white raincoat, as it doesn't negate lighting
Fascinating, but limited-- only so much can be done with cameras and projecters; most of the technology's uses would end up being more obvious than camo.
I'm just trying to prove their theory wrong. They say these 'invisible people' absorb light and none passes through them. What I said poves that wouldn't make them invisible.
It might only work from one direction, but he does turn sideways, and it still works fine.
But unless the spectator/ camera is in exactly the right place it won't look right.
