SYNTAX
SET CAMERA RANGE Near Value, Far Value
SET CAMERA RANGE Camera Number, Near Value, Far Value

It will set the camera range farther so the backdrop doesnt clip any 3D models.

Yea, its because your camera cant see that far. I wouldnt toggle with the camera range tho, it will get you a slower framerate. Instead, use smaller objects, matrices etc. A smaller scale will make everything better. Dwarven Tales (Indi's Project) uses such a small scale he has problems with bones in Milkshape becuase they dont scale down that small!!

You can either increase your camera's range, as formentioned, or you can shrink your skybox. You don't have to scale down everything else.

Good luck

Another question - how can you create an explosion for the end of a gun(for the gun in the pic way above), would you use particles? or ...?
thanks

A ghosted, textured plain at the end of the gun would be perfect. Have it shown for a few frames when fired, then hide it.

It also might be cool to max the ambient light for a frame or two! That should further add to the illusion of a muzzle flash.

I just love that "oh crap!" feeling when you fire a gun in a dark room and find out that you are surrounded by bloodthirsty demons/zombies/lawyers.
