I purchased this and an making my own segmants but is there a recommended size for wall or floor textures ?

Made some 250x250 ...then tried 800x800 better quality I think ...Or is that just me ?

I have a pretty hefty GFX card so if the textures make it slower I will go smaller for other users benefit ?

You can get a good quality with 512x512 and a shader.
1024 is common for high end room segments, 256 is common for super memory saving- and a trick is to break the texture into separate segments-stack 256 on top of itself in 2 segments- takes less calculations to make the same as 512 per size.
Some use as much as 2048 but if the engine is using the full quality this will slow down some player's computers. I recommend testing a few textures with full shaders on a few friends' computers and if they are all happy, use that. If some are sluggish, use 512.

Thanks cds1234

Going by what you say I think the 512x512 will be the happy medium for quality and speed so as you advised I will test it out on a few of my mates lower end machines.. But at least now I have a recommended standard

Thanks for the reply
