I've been plugging away at Wings 3D lately with surprisingly good results. It's true power is definately seen in modeling, but it appears to have a definate weakspot in texturing.

Here's my first question. How do you make material as a color. Every time I try the Material's button I select a color, and appy it - nothing happens, just the same old boring gray.

How do you UV map exactly. It seems that the UV window contains nothing but a small pre-set of colors that can't be added to?

Hang on. I fixed my problem, now I just want to get rid of those annoying "lines" that mark up all the edges of the polygon I editied.

That's what I'm doing. Now, I've got the colors where I want them. How do I get rid of those pesky border lines?

Yeah, I did that too. I eventually got it, but then I realized that it wasn't saving the results. I had to "Discard UV data" for the operation to be successful. Thanks guys - problem solved.
