This forum has been made in a language called PHP. PHP is a programming language in its own right, it works on the server and processes information, and then outputs it as the html file that you see in your webbrowser.

If you want to develop your own, I suggest you download PHP from www.php.net and get a good book on it. Also, you'll need a web account that can use php.

You could also use ASP, microsofts server side language(s). This might be easier if you already know Visual Basic as it can use VB script.

Personally, I suggest you get a pre-made forum from somewhere and put it on your site. Do a search on google for "php forum".

I would be unstoppable if I could just get started...

php is a recursive acronym

funny how you learn big words for absolutely no reason at all.

lol, iv'e got something called "microsoft studio greetings" that creates greeting cards, and saves them as ".php". it's a right bitch, everytime i want to open an old birthday card iv'e made (to edit out the names and replace them with someone elses), i forget about it and just double click the file. and then ofcourse, here come the dreamweaver mx errors

ASAP stands for As Soon As Possible

Err, recursive doesn't mean jumbled up, it means an acronym within an acronym within an acronym, such as GNU (GNU's Not Unix)

I made a small forum which works with my frames and site(which i got two things to fix on it which i never get around to doing). They are really not that hard to make. It might just take you a while to make one. Mine took me about a month or was it a couple weeks. I forgot.
http://elements.ath.cx:8080 you can see it there. Also made a PM thing with it.(ps-just dont click on games. trying to make a tree menu there but i am failing misrably at it)

AMD Atherlon 2400+ XP, 380 DDr memeory, ATI Radeon 9000 64 DDR, Windos XP home edition.

for doing cool menus and other stuff you might take a look at the following site:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/

they have code (mostly javascript) that you can use on your web pages)

If you aim at nothing you'll hit it every time. 806mhz AMD Athlon Processor. 384MB memory.
Windows XP Home Edition. RADEON 9700 Pro graphics card. - editor.exe=1.0.6.1 - DBPCompiler.exe=V1.05
