How long does it normally take to have a post approved? I posted in another thread and it's been over 24 hours and it still isn't up.

It just depends I'm afraid, your post has to be checked by a moderator before anyone can see it - even if there's no intention or evidence of spam or bad behaviour, everyone has to go through the process, but it doesn't take long, takes even less time if you post more. Why not take a tour of the WIP sections, see what people are up to and comment - every post you make get's you closer to the magic post number that unlocks your noob status
