Well I feel like getting one for some reason...
Before I do though are there any suggestions for good ones? Money is not a problem. (lets not go nuts though)
Any special features you recommend it should have? Help me out here.

thanks

Fujifilm Digital Cameras are pretty good - plus they double as webcams.

if you want to to use solely as a web cam, then be sure the res is at least 640x480.

£25 is about $80 Canadian

personally i'd suggest, cheapend buy Logitech, highend buy Creative.
there are other makes but those are the only two with any where near acceptable quality - in my eyes anyways.

I have a Creative Webcam 6, can get some superb quality on that ... well if your willing to spend $160us ^_^

a $40 AUD twinkle cam will do the trick if your just interested in sending your face. dont waist your time with anything else really and unfortunately most of them nowdays is usb which can be a pain if your on an older OS like win98.

XE.com makes £25 the same as 56 canadian dollars.
80 Canadian dollars is more like £35

We just got a webcam, a Philips ToUcam pro one with weird attachments, like a little egg case and funny extendible bits - it was about £40 but the quality is immensely good, very sturdy and cool little camera. Personally I can't stand those cheap round ones, if your gonna have a web cam then make it half decent. I reckon the PS2 camera is one of the worst and cheapest webcams I've seen, and it costs about £60!!!

if you're on about an itoy, i'd say they're well worth it (great for parties, of with mates, but would be very boring playing on your own).

anyways, at work we got a creative webcam for £20, dunno what model. we've had alot of problems with it though, it's strange and i just don't think it likes our USB2 ports, even though they shouldn't affect it at all. now and again it'll stop working, but if you move it to one of the other USB root hubs, then it'll start working again, well for awhile anyway. i just blamed it on being a cheap camera

i don't think there is anything wrong with a cheap cam, i have one of the small keyring type digi cams thats about £20 and takes pics at 0.1 mega pixel but it works great as a webcam, i havn't got a proper one so i can't really recomend one but what i am saying is that cheap cameras aren't always bad.

Chris make sure your translating to Candian Dollars not US Dollars...

the exchange rate is around
£1 = $1.46us = $2.30can

the exchange rate almost doubles each time, as i've never had to go from £ -> $can i've always tried to think through what it would be in US then translated that way.

but as i've said... Logitech tend to be the best cheapest.
i mean there are nice camers that'll send roughly your face, then there are great camera's that will get into digital quality and colour.
they've come a long way in the past 3years, as mine is a 3gigapixel 48bit Colour which on a broadband connection can push a 640x480x32image at 60hz (30fps) easily with that fantastic digital quality you see on digicams. ^_^
