Are there any free or dirt cheap programs that will convert the Strata s3d file to x,dfx, or 3ds? Need one because Strata is the best but doesnt' save in X or 3ds

Am I an Idiot...or is everyone else just really smart?

Strata should be able to export out 3ds and from there you should be able to work with other 3d applications. I would hoever use the .obj file format for transgressing amongst different packages as it retains the mesh poly data but may lose the animation components, so you will have to recreate that part.

you could also try '3d exploration' which convert most files
