great model and texture
only critisism i can think of is, is that supposed to be the sun, earth and moon in the bottom right hand corner? not so sure about that...maybe it would look better without it?

hey there thanx for that reply, yeah I have been battling what to put the whole time I was texturing....do you think it might be best just to dump it or maybe blend it in a bit better, like desaturate it a bit....I was trying to go for the carved-in look. But anyways you are correct about what they are....any suggestions would be awesome!

well i suppose if the shield was of some clan/army (is this for a game your making?) you could have the logo/emblem of the army on the shield...or if you want to keep it, i think the earth should be a bit brighter maybe, as it's not so clear at the moment

good good, excellent suggestion, I have intentions of creating a game that will use this content (i'm still sketching stuff and figuring out a story so its all just a dream right now heh) and I forgot about emblems because I just havent gotten that far along lol (perhaps someone would have an idea for a fancy logo), i plan (for now) keeping the symbols so I'll work on fixing the earth. <-----funny statement
