I just got one for an xmas present and couldnt wait till then to try it .

I had a 6 x 9 ages ago for the mac in a ps2 form.
this one is half that size and usb.

this one is great but i gotta plug another $20 for a mouse that goes with it.

Monster uv wrap artwork is scared now when they see me coming with a plastic pen in hand

Neat little package .

I have a tiny 'Genius' tablet, it's like 4"x3", but it's 9-pin so it works fine with my old mouse. I bought a hand rollerball to go with it - so I have the hand roller in my left hand for menus and options, and the tablet on the table and I draw with my right hand - pretty neat little setup for the entire £30 that it cost.

Be sure to stick a piece of paper over it - keeps it clean and gives a more traditional surface to draw on, like some nice quality sketch paper will make it feel more like your drawing and will slow your strokes down, which is a good thing.

[EDIT] Nice to see your back btw!

thanks for the welcome back.

Yeah I have a notepad over the tablet as i hate plastic on plastic and Im a bit of a freak when it comes to protecting anything that can get scratched.

I have 2 mice and a tablet now connected. I should ditch the ps2 mouse if the usb one would stop crashing and not responding intermittently.

Ive been affected by a new spybot trojan called a transponder and not sure how to fully remove it yet. its nastyware!!

I hid the tablet under a book and showed my mum this amazing new pen that doesnt need a wire or batteries god bless her, she thought it was futuristic and when she tried to use it on the other side of the table it didnt work lol

the transponder is history now also. theres a new tool in the arsenal Ill mention called Hijack this if anyone gets stuck

i have it on good authority that the Wacom Graphite3's are pretty good...
^_^ gonna be getting the $250 A6 for christmas, it's not greatly huge area - but figure that it's gotta fit on my computer desk so doesn't need to be.

they'd got some good features though for thier prices,
2,000 dpi with upto 255 pressure levels for the basic version that starts at $130 which is pretty good stuff
