i want to put a texture on my file, the texture address is http://www.cs.utah.edu/~xchen/earth.gif and i want to put it on a sphere... the sphere is made in wings3D, its a 3DS file ( i have my reasons why to make it in wings3D and not just use a command)

when i go look at the sphere, it is all the color of the north pole in the texture, but i want all the continents, ect, to show up, but only the north pole does.... any help on this?

You did what? For who?! For how many jellybeans?!?

yeah its simple
you basically have to scale the texture on the object

scale object texture objectnumber, uvalue, vvalue

look up the function in bd help for full explanation

that may fix it, although more than likely your gonna have to UV map the texture on to your model, i don't know much about this but that should start you off.

I use milkshape, you can texture the model in that program, and then the only thing you must do is load the model in to you program and its already textured!

if I = 1 then I = 1 else I = 0

no.... the problem i have, is not the trouble of textureing it, but the trouble of the sphere not being textured correctly, only the north pole shows on the entire sphere, when the world should.
