You certianly don't want to give yourself a silly name.

Have somethign witty, yet humourus, like mine...
JessTicular...
Humourus, because it rhimes with Testicular (lame, i know... but still)
and witty, because my name is Jess Telford, thus, Jess T, thus JessT-icular...

But, RPGamer is good...

How about RPJohn.

I've had many of handles in my day, ranging from Saphire to Hito Hentai (my original DB forum Name), they've all lasted for at least a year. I've used Arrow off and on for about 7 years now. If you go to my website (shameless self promotion #016) and check out my profile picyou'll see some of my older handles in the background.

Isn't chopping and changing names a bad idea for a moderator. I mean people recognise RPGamer, changing it might confuse people, or some folks will think you've waltzed into the forum and been handed a moderator badge.

I reckon you should leave it alone.

If you want to nick someone's name just put it as your name but with a space infront of it.

Rich's space-deleting system helpfully removes it leaving them exactly the same.

John[ED]RPGamer

Kinda long and muffled, but whatever. Later you can shorten to
John[ED] once people figure things out.

Name changes suck in a way. How many people would be able to tell if I changed my name from Yellow--->??????. Guess I'd have to explain in sig, which you may have to RP..John.

Whatever works though, go for it.

That's probably not a good thing. It would be extremely easy to steal someone's name/sig/avatar and then pose as them and say dirty things about Rich or other people.

Not really, Rich and the mods see our IP address, they'ld figure it out pretty quick, thatr and the join date could give them away.

When I change my name here I put "Arrow a.k.a. Hito Hentai" for about a month. People seamed to know who I was, I also was the only one using the Yorda avitar at the time, I miss her some days

Huh, and I thought it was from that "Johnny Nemonic" movie.

Yeah, a while back someone started using Yorda, a few poeple got us mixed up. It wouldn't have bothered me so much but he got involed in a sexist debate with him on the "guy" side. So now I have some saki as my Avitar, added my name too so no one can steal it.

I think we should be able to make up our own names for users.
So in our profiles we can set what name we see for a specific username.
That would be fun.

If a little confusing.
