True story... Me and my dad bought a quadcopter and took it out flying, after 2 days my dad still couldn't get the hang of the controls and on the 3rd day he sent it straight to the top of the highest tree around. We then ordered another one, but while we are waiting for it to be delivered I decided to program a 3D quadcopter simulator with similar controls so that he can practice on it and get his orientation.

This is a cool idea. You should turn it into a full game, add some missions like spying on people, etc.
