Should something medieval look moderate . must not necessarily be with Hud , but would be great

Is this what your looking for?
Should still work (a little tweeking to the script may be needed)
As long as your using a newer version (V1.19&up) it should work.

The "Lanterns" are just "weapon" models. One would then use
a script together with the "lantern" to cast a light.
I was wrong before, FPSC V1.20 has the built-in flashlight
command "flashlight=1" The "F" key toggels the light.

Also, only certain segments without shaders work with
this command. The WW2 segments don't have shaders and it works
great with it.
Also, have a look at Nomad Mod. He was able to get segment
shaders to work with this type of light.

In fact it works really well! Try some of his demos/maps and see
how they are setup and take it from there. He even has a "flashlight" included to get started.
