Hi Guys
I've searched the forum and wondered if there is actually a flashlight that works?

If so, where is it and how would I get it to work?

I've downloaded a couple and none work. So can anyone help please.... Sooner rather than later?

I can't seem to get any of these to work. I'm using 1.19 and I'm not great at setting these things up.

Any chance anyone can do a quick demo on how to make these work please?

I'm wondering if your trying to use the "built in" flashlight or a "hud" type ???
As arrojar stated the latest version comes with "flashlight" built in (hard coded)
then there is the older "hud" style/type. I believe the hard coded flashlight only works
on segments with Nomad Mod and/or Black Ice mod. (has to do with the shaders used on segments)
If your using a "hud" type flashlight then any version should work?

Cheers Guys...... Thanks for the link, I'll have a look at the weekend.

However, as far as the built in flashlight or HUD, I'm not sure? I'm kinda new to bits of this but I am getting there, so I'm not sure.

I tried the built in light (I presume it was anyway) in ww2 & scifi pack and they didn't seem to work.

I know thre must be a simple fix for this and I apologise if it's a bit tedious, but I really do need a flash light.

Cheers

Garyjayuk I'm pretty sure the builtin flashlight should work with V1.19.
It should work with ww2 room and segments. (not scifi with shaders)
What script are you using for the "flashlight"? Does it look like this..?

Cheers for that..... I've added this but I still think I must be doing something wrong. Maybe I'm placing the script in the wrong thing. Do I place it in the main torch script? Or something else?

No, I take it the "torch" is from the ww2 entities? That is just an entity
that one can pick up, Further scripting is needed to do more.
I attached a quick and simple map with only stock files. Drop files
into yours and open the example "simple_flashlight" map.

You will see off to the side a trigger with the "flashlight" script attached.
Test run it, at anytime you can hit "F" key to turn on or off the "flashlight".
One does not even need to pickup the "torch" entity.
best
