Hi

I've got me snow falling and it piles up on the ground. but how do I make it start off with just a few snow dots that start at the top and then build up to a snow storm.

How about using a timer? As the timer progresses, you increase the variable which controls snow.

Or, position each snow drop on a big scale, say your snow starts at 100 high, you'd position all the snow drops on a 100 to 1000 scale, then when they land and you regenerate them, just set them to 100 again.

Some more details would be a bonus, I mean is it 2D or 3D for a start.

Here's a snow scene I threw together - I used 3d objects - gravity - timer - 2d backdrop - some music - a happy holiday thingy I made for my girl's parents
