I have a project where all my images are BMP images, they will not load when I try running my project on my Raspberry Pi 2 with Raspbian Jessie. I tried converting them to PNG but they still don't load. I noticed that the images that comes included with the AppGameKit projects will load and that they are PNG

I would guess that you it's case issue.
Just like Android you will find that PNG, png and Png are all very different.

Thank you for your help Scraggle Nice to know that Linux is case sensitive. It turns out I was missing the .png extension entirely I converted the image in Raspbian with Image Viewer but I had to type in the extension myself when using "save image as...".
