I use a 3D modeling program called Milkshape 3D. It is located here:
http://www.milkshape3d.com/ms3d/download.html. It is not free, but the cost is reasonable. I have tried Blender and I just don't have the time/desire to invest in learning it. Milkshape is easier to learn, but realistically will not give you the results you will get if you learn Blender.
You can create .x format files that can be exported to DB Pro with Milkshape. You can also import meshes from .x files (no bones/joints or animation).
If your model is not too complex, I would be willing to rig it and do some basic animations on it for you. You can email it to me if you want me to do this.
