sorry for the bad download link... looks like dbc cannot be found on the internet anymore...
anyhow you are not looking for 1.13 but for 1.2(1.14) as 1.13 is outdated for compatibility problems.

a solution for you could be to buy a physical version of darkbasic (classic) or dark game studio on ebay,
then you can send a picture of you with the boxed product to a tgc staff member
and they will add the electronic version to your account so that you can get the latest updates...

or write to tgc and maybe they will send you dbc for free but I am not aware about how much dbc is or was free...

or go for dbpro which is now free lol

you can try shooter 1.0 my new dbc game made with the 1.2 version of dbc, if you want a look on what can be achieved with dbc nowdays, it's available on my website.

best regards

I still have the box for Dark Basic Classic, but I've misplaced the disc somewhere. I could attach the program without any of the media files if you'd like since I have it installed on so many of my computers.

It's a great program: works on just about everything (You need to download a dll file for windows 7 and later to make it work though...). All documentation is built into it, which is a huge plus. It's surprising how complex projects can get with it.

Sorry for the wait!
I think that MHD256 sent me an email and I was able to follow up with a link, but for anyone else interested in the download, I uploaded it to google drive. Personally, I love Dark Basic Classic. It's very compatible and flexible. There's no real limit as to what you can make through it as long as you have the patience to solve the roadblocks.

Enough riff-raff: here's the link!
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8sbN5cN6HX1RkhxaFMyZEZNRWM

(I'm not very well versed with Google Drive, and if for some reason it won't let you download the files then PM me or something.)

PS: ALWAYS check EXE's you download with antivirus! If somehow my google account got compromised, someone could replace the DB.exe file with something else! I've made sure that editing the folder is off, but anything can happen, so better safe than sorry!

Shrimpalimpaaa:

Many thanks! Your share made it very simple to check out an old DBC program of mine (using Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit). I don't have any optical drives anymore, at least not on my main computer. But I do have Dark Basic Classic, on CD (or possibly DVD, from the Dark Game Studio pack). Actually I also found DBC like 15 or more years ago in a Sales bin in a shop (which got me started with DBC, btw that was a good buy!), but I'm not sure where that CD is atm.

EDIT: Having looked at the DBC CD on another computer, I think I simply put it in the same cover as the Dark Game Studio DVD.
Apologies for any typos and strange grammar.
