Probably this
Jokes aside, Damo I really think you're taking people too seriously and overreacting when they don't give you the attention. You should be coding for yourself. If you make something interesting and want to share it, sure go ahead and post it here. But don't centre your actions around other people.People will always disappoint you, just don't put yourself in a position where you expect them to react in a certain way.
This is extra important here since I get the impression you have different expectations of this forum than other users. That's why whenever you feel let down by users here, they don't seem to understand. When you come back, everybody welcomes you with open arms, but you feel nothing has changed.
tl;dr, don't focus on other people's responses. Focus on what you're doing/achieving. I know attention and recognition feel good, but it isn't something that should drive or motivate you. If you make something cool share it! Maybe you'll get some nice feedback. Just don't set yourself up for failure by having unrealistic expectation of other people.
tl'dr of the tl;dr Never expect anything of anyone
I hope that doesn't come across as condescending at all. Just trying to give a couple of pointers I think might help.
This is basically advice on how to be good at being antisocial lol.
Also if people think this is bad advice, please let me know
