I'm looking for a video course which starts with the very basic of Blender! I could just do a youtube search, of course, but those vids are often very fractured and all over the place. I'm after something a bit more structured and grounded. I don't mind (much) if it cost money, just as long as it gives me a solid foundation.

EDIT: As an aside, just how many triangles at a time should I put into a 3D game?

I learned using youtube. Its a slow painful process.

Sebastian Lague - you may want to watch his newer videos. He has become much better with more experience. I believe he has a Patreon account. I learned animation from his videos, and I think I make decent looking animations for not doing it that long. He has some great tips.

Alimayo Arango - Again - watch his later videos. He is actually really good teacher - with lots of tutorials.

Darren Lile - Very good, very informative, very slow paced. He has his own website or is partnered with someone. I didn't subscribe, but never say never.

VscorpianC - I don't know if she is still active, but worth watching.

I forced myself through Gryllus' online blender design course and highly recommend it. His videos can be found on youtube, but his website has since disappeared (it had "homework" and other resources on it that were helpful)

Once you know the basics and know your way around blender, anything from blenderguru is helpful. His stuff is for medium to advanced users.

I'd recommend bforartists www.bforartists.de. It's based on blender, but it's got more user-friendly interface. Also the creator puts tutorials on youtube.

Yeah, bforartist has a simpler interface and some very basics video's. It's worth looking at and it's built around the newest blender version.
