They just released a new look, like 3 minutes ago. First impressions? It looks horrible. Several elements blown up waaay larger than necessary, like the subscribe button. Also more clutter and less logical layout, fewer visual queues to separate things, overall it all just looks less comfortable and more cluttered. Hopefully they change this.

Oh and I found a bug. Switching between regular and full screen seems to completely change what video plays next in a play list. It skips over 40 or so videos. Great job YouTube! I see quality control is top notch these days.

Also, the new location for the like bar is pretty lousy. For such an important element, it's in a pretty arbitrary location.

It is still the same as ever here in Aus. Can you drop a screenshot of it looks like for you? I'm curious

Ahh interesting. This is a picture of the little area below the video, which is where most of the unnecessary, silly looking changes occurred.

It just looks weird and uncomfortable. Maybe I just need to get used to it, but it seems awfully weird that the like bar is no longer right justified. It bugs my brainium!

Also, on the main front page, they only manage to fit 5 videos across instead of the previous 6 or 7. Just a lot of white, wasted space.

[quote=]Just realized another really handy feature they REMOVED. It used to be that, when you hovered over a user's profile name, a little window would pop up and show you some basic information about them. This included subscriber count, so it was easy to tell if it was a real or fake profile. But I guess they decided that wasn't useful enough anymore. Always thinking things through

EDIT Phew! I cleared my cache and that did the trick. Back to the old interface, at least for now.

Google do live A/B testing, giving different versions to different users. If the reaction is not a good one, they don't roll out the changes. So it is always possible that users see different things, and some things seemingly appear and disappear.

I know they do. Just this time I thought it was permanent because last time, clearing my cache brought me back to the old interface, but this time, that didn't work quite so magically.

I got the new interface yesterday. I had just uploaded a video from my video app and when I went to look for it I couldn't find it "My Videos" and the Video Manager were nowhere to be found.
I switched back to the old interface and found it straight away.

You must tell me how!

But yeah, just another needless UI update that causes more issues than it solves. 1 step forward, 5 steps back! I would take an ugly but practical UI any day over one that's flashy but dumb. And the previous one looked great imo!

I think the option was on the left menu or far right, I don't remember exactly. But once clicked, there is no option to go back to the new interface.

This is where it was last year...
