lol, believe it or not we actually have a company over here that are basically a real-life version of the ghost busters. Of course, they don't have the name "Ghost Busters", but what they do is people who think they have ghosts in their house hire them to setup and monitor their home for ghosts with surveillance equipment and what-not.

Makes sense to me. People buy-- or waste money, if that's your point of view-- peace of mind through phyciatric help, diviners etc every day... that's just another form of the same thing .

Yeah, I watched this on the news yesterday ...

"We asked everyone if they had seen anyone and they said no"
"We asked our staff if they had been in the area and they said no"

Well, I'm convinced! Thorough detective work there then

At least now, they can look forward to an increase in paying visitors over Christmas ... totally coincidental, I'm sure

You bet.
There was also an interview with the ghost.
And they were selling limited addition t-shirts with the ghost on it along with hotdogs.
...
Oh wait, that was E3.

Ghost "Yea, being a ghost is pretty good. You can go thru walls and scare people and stuff. You never have to wait in line for the bathroom! Its very depressing though, whenever you wanna be friends with someone, they just shriek and run off. Just because I've been dead for a few centuries, doesnt mean that Im a weirdo does it? Society these days..."

Yep, it was me all along. Boo!

Living in London myself they showed the CCTV clip on the local news loadsa times and it is pretty pathetic. All you see is the fire exit doors fly open and a bloke dressed up in medieval clothes close the doors.

Boo!

lol... this isn't the first time this has cropped up, just the first time there seems to be concrete evidence.
god knows if there really is a ghost there, it's entirely possibly; depends if you believe in them or not.

I think the more immediate questions for this mystery isn't so much, "is there a ghost?" but more along the lines of finding out what the ghost is doing.

play devils advocate, when you can determin who the ghost is and why they'd be constantly breaking open the twin doors of what is now the fire escape and slamming them behind him; with some quite 17th century clothes on... then you can start to prove or disprove his actions.

i mean if you eleminate the possibly of plausibility you eleminate the ghostie.
guess this is like nessy though, quite frankly i'd love for it just to stay an urban myth rather than some detective spoiling it all. dunno about you but i like mystery and believing that there could be a little more to life than what we can physically see and feel.
(annoyingly i also happen to be a strongly logical guy who wants to know if its true or not with hard facts ... hehee, totally contradictory personality traits)

Oh, so he didn't actually appear out of thin-air so to speak? That's what the article made it sound like and that's one of the main reaons I thought it might have been real. o_O

I'm trying to find a site that has the move clip on so you can see for yourself but the main news channels don't have the clip for some reason.

I believe in ghosts. I believe they can be tied into physical laws of this universe. And they scare me sh*tless!

Even as someone who doesnt believe in god or have any faith, I still believe we have a soul. Where does that go when we die? How many people have been ridiculed in the past for saying things like "I can fly" or "the world is round" etc etc. and then they're later proved right. I think one day we'll prove ghosts exist.

.. AND IT SCARES ME SH*TLESS!

Grandma!! You didn't see me doing what I thought you saw me doing, did you??????

I saw the clip on BBC news and it was literally one frame door closed, next open. It ran at about 1fps!

Still looked odd. The palace is well known for having ghosts.

The video looks faked! The picture goes dark when the person appears, and it seems to be edited with a triangle cut out from a different time from the same camera. The darkness I think is caused by some of the film being made at night, and added later to the day version.

Pincho.
