How do I add background music? How do I move forward? How do I add surface features such as trees? The zip file is at http://www.geocities.com/brianthehedgehog/lozdal.html?1071967312331 . You will have to click on the link to download it cuz geocities doesn't allow remote linking. Please help if you can!

Quote: "if upkey()=1 then move up"

that doesn't work^

-edit-

nevermind about that, I got it to work, but the music part isn't working. Do I have to put in "autostart=true" or something like that?

-edit-

also, how do I add boundaries, and a pic for the sky?

You *really* [emphisize REALLY] need to read the manual.

That load music wont work because you dont have a music file named

"" I dont think. When you read the manual, you will learn how these commands work, such as if you had a file named "MySong.mid" You might say

Load Music "MySong.Mid",1
Loop Music 1

If upkey()=1 then move up is Psuedo code. The move up part generally says

Move Object Whatever Object Nuber you Want To Move,Units

Please read the manual and look at the examples. This will all be VERY easy.

RPGamer

Of course, that will not work since you do not have a song called "MySong.mid"

Brian, my advice is to invest in a beginning course in a BASIC dialect. If necessary invest in the DB beginners book.

@Brian the Hedgehog:

When he said the manual, he meant the help stuff in DBPro. I am assuming you are using DBPro.

just click on the command you want help with and press F1.

@DBoy780: I though the 286 was still a hot machine...

My game course has interupted my Alienware compo. No more sweet ass comp for me. Plus I have no more webspace.
