I am creating a sci-fi game and I am cramming it full of sci-fi reference, this includes the description text. This is the first draft, wondering if the references are effective, can you spot them all? there are 8 references to 5 tv shows or movies.

Damn it Jim! that was almost 20 years ago, now look at you, the wrong side of 40 with a crippling absence of fashion sense, out of shape and stuck in a dead end job aboard the JMC (Jupiter Monitoring Centre) in orbit around LV426. Well I might not be to T-16 pilot but I can sure spot trains better than anyone else even if they’re moving at ludicrous speeds.

Well if you've going to have ludicrous speed, you'll need a moment when things just go to plaid.

I did something similar in my game, Kayak Escape. If you play it on Ludicrous difficulty mode, the water turns to plaid.
