How can we boot directly into our AppGameKit app on the Pi?

Ideally, I'd like to have an export option in the Windows IDE that outputs an image file for the Pi that contains the bare-bones OS required for AppGameKit to run properly and pre-configured to boot straight into the AppGameKit app. I want to be able to burn that image to an SD card and use it to boot straight into our AppGameKit app on the Pi, without any other text showing whilst booting (except maybe a splash screen for the app).

How can we achieve this?

First off, a bare-bones OS with no text at startup. Any ideas? We can remove all the boot text by removing the line: "console=tty1" from /boot/cmdline.txt apparently. That's a start!
