After the release date. In 2 Months. For now Tier 1 only for alpha testing.
Vulkan engine should be integrated first.

I can’t imagine that we will ever be writing c++ code inside AGKS. If it is offered, I think it will be like tier 2 in AGK2 and you will write your code inside Visual Studio.

Maybe if we get lucky, they will have an option to export to the scene files to something we can use in tier 2.

I agree. But how C++ programmers will benefit from the Visual Editor?

TGC guys wanted to imitate something like a visual editor in Unity or other game engines. But in AppGameKit it is useless. It is only suitable for prototyping of 2d physic games.
The only reason to get AppGameKit Studio for me is the guaranty of working of future iOS updates.

@Alex_Peres: What makes you think that? I'm sure with loading scenes it would be as good of a level editor as any. I just hope they will make a 3D version too. It's not that I don't make 2D games, but I've got the most hassle positioning things in 3D using just raw code honestly. I mean in terms of speed, it would speed up development for 3D by a LOT.

@PHeMoX: Because I think it's just a "Placement Editor" 2.0. Nothing more. If you know something about Unity's editor, you may know that it is much more than just a "Placement Editor" in AGK.
Unity's editor is a part of the game code. You can create an animation in it. You can manage conditions and dependencies. You can significantly speed up the process of creating GUI animations in it.
AGK is a good old game-framework which I . I just meant that the "Placement Editor" is nothing more than a marketing ploy. It does not even have a twentieth of the editor's functionality in Unity(for example).

As far as I know, AGKS will be also useful for C++ programmers because it will include the Vulkan integration. In particular, it will allow you to publish for iOS 13+ which will only accept Metal and not OpenGLs (AGK2's engine). AGKS will provide Metal through a wrapper for Vulkan:

@Alex_Peres: Yeah I see what you mean, but there's hoping they will expand upon the idea and also make it 3D capable. I would agree it is an area where engines like Unity have the advantage, even though I personally really don't like using Unity. Not saying it's bad obviously.
