Been working on this all day (and a bit of last night). My Gift to you all is a small zip that contains 10 or so 3D models, and a small collision engine for newbies. You can download the pack here:

http://nwg.dbpcommunity.com/forums/TGCCP.zip

Cheers and Merry Christmas All,
Preston

Dang Preston, that bow cannon is nice.
(in fact, I replaced the sphere in the collision demo with it )
Nice models, nice demo.(Even I learned a thing or two from a quick glance.)

Keep up the good work.

Merry Christmas.

Yep, my Khan reorganized the clan. I am now the Star Col of Delta Galaxy in the Clan Jade Falcon. The Necromancer model was inspired by the Ryoken, but I admit, the BowCannon was inspired by a Lego model I made about a year ago (which is still intact). Tried to get it to look as much as the lego model as possible.

Cheers,
Preston

My shadowcat, in technic. The pic's kinda dark because it's night time right now, and besides, I used my cellphone to take it I began to lack parts at the legs, so I improvised on what parts I had...Thus the legs kinda suck. Fear the gauss rifle...

Keeping on topic -- it's a little difficult trying to limb these things...the verts are merged together, but limb animation won't like that...Any workarounds?

Nope

Hmm, not sure. You could always rig the mesh. Otherwise, you're going to have to stick with rotating and offsetting the limbs.

Cheers,
Preston

Boning a model is rather easy as long as you plan it out before hand so it don't bend funny, mesh deformation is almost the standerd now days.

Preston, I sudjest you tone down the Specular Lighting a bit if you can, it makes the models look alot better.

You should include a model viewer. Wouldent have to
load them just to see how they look. Just looked at the textures.

I dont know how to spell

No, not all of them. There are only two mechs after all. Only one of them is based on a MW4 mech (Necromancer is based on Ryoken). The other mech was based off of a lego I made. The rest I made exclusive for the pack, I retextured, or I just threw in there for good measure.

Cheers,
Preston

Scerw that, try SARS.

Geri is a little twerp that shows up for a few day before getting banned, again. I really wish there was a way to keep him away, amaybe ba dcookie. (last three words are in the anti-Geri code).
