I gotta agree too...dear Lord, some of you guys are SPOILED. I asked for four things and of those I only got two of what I wanted:

1. A new TV...about a 21"
2. A giant fluffy pillow for my futon

And then I got about five things I didn't ask for. Grand total: probably worth about $150.

*sigh* Oh well...maybe I'll get a DVD player and season one of Family guy some other time...

(Yeah, I know I should be greateful...and I am! But man, what's the point of the new TV if I still have to watch all of my DVDs upstairs in the family room??)

I got:

Books in no particular order:
The Dragon Reborn
Eragon
A Game of Thrones
A Clash of Kings
A Storm of Swords
The Wish List
Lyra's Oxford
Assassin's Apprentice

Other:

Logitech Internet Explorer Keyboard
LOTR Trilogy Edition Risk

And one present that hasn't arrived yet in the mail. My mom and dad won't tell me what it is ...

Anyways, before any of you call me spoiled, I've got six family members in the house-- and one who visits-- so I buy more than most of you too, and I have never had a TV in my room-- those of you who do have no right to call other chaps spoiled . Tch tch!

Btw, HZense, computers have been able to play DVDs as a standard since '98. It works

Oh, and I got my dad's 'dead' 15-16" (I just know it's bigger than my old tube monitor) flatscreen LCD display working a few weeks ago, kind of like an early Christmas present and it kicks ass .

Don't you dare call me spoiled. You haven't seen spoiled until you've seen my niece!

And just because I have a TV in my room - so what? My first TV I saved for myself...my parents were just nice enough to get me one. And I'm grateful

@Mouse: My monitor is small, I want to be able to watch DVDs on my nice shiny new TV

Hey...once I had a tv in my room. I dragged it in from outside (I found it in the dumpster) and it worked quite well too. Good for playing a bit of dreamcast on. I hid it in my closet but my mom found it and made me throw it out. Later on that year I did it 2 more times again.

I had to throw out all of them. That's what happens to TV's who don't get bought during garage sales. They all go to me. Mwahahahah.

Well considering my family in general dislikes consoles of all sorts, and I already have a computer to play DVDs on, it'd be a pretty big waste of hundreds of bucks to buy a TV. I mean, I could get a new CPU with that money

(Btw, I've saved up for my operating system, Radeon 9500 Pro video card, Sound Blaster Live! sound card, and optical mouse by myself-- and that's without me being able to get a job. Huah ! Rambo!)

I'm going to assume then that you get allowance? Then technically, you didn't earn any of that many, it was just your parents being nice enough to give it to you...

jebus, there are alot of lil spoil kids out there ^_^
well i'm kinda happy this christmas, wish it was another uneventful one; but as always the bad luck struck...
presents were all cool, everyone had fun. Just some things have happened around it; that just have taken away that "joyful" spirit.

Completely wrong. I do not and have never gotten allowance-- all the money I get, I earn from doing odd jobs and/or babysitting either in or out of the family. So there ...

This year's christmas was weird...didn't feel like Chritmas at all. Just felt like a normal every-day, day. No Christmas tree, no cool simpsons christmas specials, no "WOW" presents, and most importantly, NO SNOW. Bah. Humbug.

True enough, however for a breif moment before I when to bed it felt like Christmas, it probably was the "Carol of the Bell" playing at the time.

um...leave it. I'm just saying, I'm 14 and I don't care for Christams much. The best gift I got was 2 WHOLE WEEKS OFF FROM SCHOOL but the people here who like school won't agree. No school is the best present a high school student can get. Peacefully, you can go to the mall, broswe the forums, chat with friends, GO SNOWBOARDING MWAHAHAHA, sleding, nail that kid you always hated in the face with a snowball, have a snow war, or just hang out or do some work on your game or site. The actual presents come last.
