Hello. I am trying to use AppGameKit with a Raspberry pi.

When I attempt to run compiled program I get a message about problems with LibGls2. This packages is already installed in Raspberry.

Also raspberry pi is very slow by nature. Is there anyway to compile software for the platform somewhere other than the actual pi itself ?

there is a forum just for the Pi https://forum.thegamecreators.com/board/56
if you search the answer there you are more likely to find it, if not you can post the question on the pi forum

There is no list of packages you need to install on raspbian ?

https://forum.thegamecreators.com/thread/218161

This is a good thing to have handy when installing tier 2 for linux.

Why did you not move it to the right forum in the first place ?

You can give me a warning. And I am going on steam right now writing the most salty negative review of appgamekit and this community.

Have a nice day

I was trying to explain to you that there is a correct forum for Pi
There are basic rules which everybody has to follow

The Pi version of AppGameKit is completely a free product and your question has been asked lots of times and the solution
posted time and time again. So if you want to post a salty review for a product you are unhappy with thats up to you
but atleast do it for the correct reasons and not because you couldnt search the forum for an answer or wait until
someone could find the answer for you.

I understood that, and as the great mod you are. Seeing I am new to these boards you moved it for me ?

Quote: "There are basic rules which everybody has to follow
"

And I somehow broke a rule by making the mistake a posting a topic in the wrong board. Better give me a warning how else would i ever learn ?

Quote: "The Pi version of AppGameKit is completely a free product and your question has been asked lots of times and the solution

That's awesome ! can you post a link to this solution because I can't find it, and the Raspberry pi forums are filled up with people have this kind of problem. Could it be an idea to make a sticky named : "Setting up AppGameKit on raspbian" - ?

The software and community are part of each other. I came here to get help with a problem I had. I meet some power hungry mod that was more interested in giving me warnings and telling me to use google (because I totally have not googled my question) than helping me

So yes, because of your poor moderation, AppGameKit get a negative review from me. It is a novice product and if this is the attitude beginners face when asking for help. I cannot recommend it

I am a volunteer I don't get money I am just like you except I have been around a long time
So i was only trying to help, im sorry i didnt have a 2 minute answer you wanted not as many people
use the pi version as they do the agk version. But the people who use the pi version know its
a free product https://www.thegamecreators.com/post/appgamekit-launches-a-free-version-for-raspberry-pi
and the pi forum is more likely to have the answers than the agk classic forum

If you can leave the question a bit longer atleast over night im sure someone will post a solution
but getting angry at people trying to help you and threatening with bad reviews wont get you anywhere
i was looking in the threads for the soultion but you kept getting angry at me its 420 am now so im off to
get some sleep.

goodluck

Help me how ? by saying I should use google, by giving me a warning or saying that my question have been answered 1000 times ?

Quote: "im sorry i didnt have a 2 minute answer you wanted "

You say my question have been answered so many times. I can't find it. Please show me where I can find the answer. THAT would be helping

Quote: "the pi forum is more likely to have the answers than the agk classic forum"

Yes, I made a horrible mistake and accidentally posted in the wrong part of the forum. And I have gotten my punishment. 1 warning to prove it

Quote: " getting angry at people trying to help you and threatening"

I am very angry about the responds I got. I am not threatening anyone. I already wrote a bad review. When your answer to my post is basically "use google" "wrong forum" "here is a warning". I cannot recommend AppGameKit because; a big part of using such a program and being new is asking questions to the people who know. I don't have problems with the programming. But the thing about Raspberry pi is, that it is very slow. You wanna update software on it ? it takes 2 hours. You want to install a package it takes maybe 20 minutes. So it would be nice to know what packages I need in order for AppGameKit to work

Quote: "i was looking in the threads for the soultion but you kept getting angry at me"

But even you could not figure out the very basics of getting AppGameKit to work on raspberry pi...because I was being angry with you. So somehow it was my fault you could not find it. Please do take your time

I have have been a volunteer myself, and probably solved more than 20k tickets from frustrated users, most of the time HELPING PEOPLE. Especially new people. I would never bring out a stick to hit a novice over the head because he or she posted in the wrong section or uploaded a picture that was slightly in violation of the rules of the site. Instead I would welcome them, and try to hint them in the right direction with the hopes of them becoming good contributing community members. This is probably also why I got mad about your way of handling my question
