I'm not exactly a copmlete newbie, but I couldn't figure out whether to put this thread in the 2d or 3d board, so I put it here. I just got Paint Shop Pro 8 for Christmas (woohoo!) and I read up on the difference between raster and vector images. Does DarkBASIC Classic allow you to use vector images for textures? It would seem to look a lot nicer if you want to keep your file size down and then scale it to a bigger size and still keep the same level of detail without any jagged lines of junk like that.

thanks,
juvy

You can only use raster images for DB I'm afraid.

For free Plug-ins, source and the DBPro Interface library for Visual C++ 6 and .NET

Okeydokey, that's kind of a bummer. But thanks for the info IanM! Heaven knows what this slow puter of mine would have done trying to load a vector image into DB.....scary thoughts........
