Hi there, my milkshape version has expired and I was wondering, if it were possible to write my own texturing program. And there I started, and then wondered: If I were to save a mesh, would it also remember (save) it's texture data? Or should I save an array with the object, where-in would be saved the scalevalue and the scroll value of the texture on the object?

Or maybe, there is another easy to use texture program, and no: I don't want to re-install windows so I can use milkshape again

Thanks in advance, Jurgen

Reinstalling windows?????? That's crazy talk dude.
I don't know much about the mesh-saving commands of DB, but I do know of a couple free programs that would be beneficial to you.

gmax-beautiful texturing, and easy modelling. Just download an .md3 exporter, then download 3d Exploration to convert .md3 to .x, and you're set to go.

trueSpace3.2 is now free. If the .md3 file doesn't save texture data or animation for some reason, then you can use trueSpace3.2 to texture and animate. It also has discounts for upgrading to newer versions of trueSpace.

hope I helped,
