My apologies marvin. I just tried this and it works.
In order to do it you can download your file and simply copy it byte by byte to the bytecode.byc file in your GetWritePath()+media folder like this;
f = OpenToRead(downloaded_file)
t = OpenToWrite("raw:"+GetWritePath()+"media/bytecode.byc")
while(FileEOF(f) <> 1)
WriteByte(t, ReadByte(f))
endwhile
CloseFile(f)
CloseFile(t)
You then need to restart your app
You will probably need to do a FULL update if you upgrade AppGameKit on your windows platform because the runtime will change
