Newcomers DBPro Corner / is there any way that input works without halting the programme from all other actions?

if i put the input command in a loop the programme will stop all other activity.
Inkey was a solution for some sectors but it cannot just replace the ultimate command input!P

i usually use scancode()
in a loop, but that may be a wee bit advaanced for you.

The best way to do text input is to use the ENTRY$() function and the CLEAR ENTRY BUFFER command. Give me 20 minutes and I'll put together an example for you
