The following is a clunky 3D particle configurator I came up with trying to figure out this particle system. It seems extremely limited compared to the Particle Editor by Gabor. But my problem is the Particle Editor exports an ARX file which I can't seem to use directly with AGK. Is this a standard format I should be able to load with built-in AppGameKit commands or do you need to use the gpup runtime supplied with the Particle Editor?

Thanks!

I havent looked too deeply just surface level at your code. But do you intend to make your file? and call it in your programs with a function that can read the data? Thats how I would do it.. Not quite sure on what you need to do exactly.. You might as well do all of the 3D Particle commands not sure if you did that again... Very interesting!!!

<After checking the commands...>
Yes you might as well go the whole 9 yards and just implement an editor..

No the intent was that I configure a particle setup with this configurator, and then simply use those settings in the program I'm adding the particles too.

I wanted to try to replicate anything that I see in the proper Particle Editor but with zero success. I'm just digging into this now - currently thinking the Particle Editor is using some magic with multiple emitters to create those effects?

Maybe some type of tween or time system setting off events maybe or images with transparency. You might have eliminated those possibilities because I do not know what you see in the editor that you are trying to replicate. Maybe some type of mathematics or a mixture of all things. Im thinking about purchasing the editor just to find out.
