Hey I had decided two mounths back that I was going to make and submit some thing for this contest so for two mounths I forgot about every thing important in life; girls, food, sleep, school, partys, friends, family, other game projects, home work, fresh air, a life. and all I did was program 24/7 witch was hard comsidering im 16 and had lots of other things that were important to do at the same time. 2800 lines of code latter I just went back on the site to submite my game tonight and at the same time I checked out sum other peoples stuff. I tell you its kinda depressing. I mean all their stuff looks so cool. Any how all I was wondering was did any one else have the same thing?

There will always be some one a little bit faster, a little bit smarter, a little bit stronger, that some one is me =)

Do not be too concerned with how the other games LOOK. The winner will be decided on gameplay, nothing else. It is very likely we'll give out some special extended prizes for this competition, as we did with the last one, because the games coming in so far are obviously real works of dedication and we feel that needs rewarding.

Ultimately, what I'm saying is that your game could be the one that appeals to us the most. Without submitting it, you'll never know.

Cheers,

Rich

Yeah

I am quite satisfied with my game I think it is cool looking.

I should have started sooner because I started my game two mounths ago at the begin of Novemberand I could have had a lot more stuff in it.

Any how good luck to all those who are also submitting a game.

"... The winner will be decided on gameplay, nothing else..."

What about the established criteria?

"(1) The use of the Alien character (2) Overall game play (3) Presentation quality including graphics... "

Isn't that a little misleading if gameplay is all your judging it on? Sorry, its just after spending 4 months working on a game to meet those criteria its a little scary to hear that said.

Read what I quoted in order, and it will probebly confuse you even more.

I'm pretty sure they go on gameplay, but with nice graphics and good use of alien, they can't help to see these 3 things.

1.) Thought and planning was put into this game.
2.) Quality time was put into this game, meaning you wanted to make the game the best.
3.) Graphics sell, so why not choose this one.

Yeah, I think game play is just the MAIN criteria.

I think you have to use the alien well to pass the first thing.
Then its on gameplay, if Rich can't decide between two on gameplay it goes onto Graphics. That's what I think anyway.
