So This is my main thread for

Egypt Versus Zombies, My Game for the compo. If you are a fan of this game please come here to check out updates and different versions.

My Jam Page


This is a clone of or a adaption of Plants versus Zombies but with a twist.



You have to defend Egypt from a hoard of Zombies and save your artifacts that you have been collecting for years.

In my collection I have dug up a old mummy


It has infected the world making everyone who touches the mummy to turn into a zombie.

Considering they just had a museum exhibit featuring the mummy

a whole mess of people have already turned into zombie's

it is up to us to fix this.

Defend Egypt and save the world.

Defend Egypt and win 20 fun playable levels to save the world.

Thank you, I will have lots to do in each level so there will be a lot of tasks you have to do in order to win before each wave is finished. I am planning on adding around 3 to 4 tasks other then defending from the zombies.

Lol yes, I got around 15 different royalty free song's just like it, I love how they look like there dancing to the music.

Easy way.....type it out in the below box and use the formatting options, then instead of posting copy and paste it into your sig settings

Actually sigs in this forum are [expletive] annoying, most forum software draws the sig data from the user profile so when you edit it it shows everywhere, here, its static and forever!

It animates pictures then what I do is export all the animated frames then I make sprites out of them.

Send me a picture of what you need and Ill animated it for you.

Awesome, I remember seeing that in a bundle somewhere, I think Lee showcased it in GameGuru years ago they was giving away a free version but I missed it! story of my life! always late to the party!

I am nowhere near ready for that yet but I will certainly take you up on your offer in a few weeks.

Ok, to be honest it is fun to play with and does not take a lot of time.

Like that guy there took only ten mins to export then well I had to reduce the images size but all together about 20 mins.

I then choose what frames I want to play and when and the sprite is pretty small for game play.

I was thinking of the *advisor* type thing that pops in from the side of the screen with key info, having it animated and lip synced would just finish it off nicely, but I need to spend a week or so inside blender to generate my assets first, when I got my framework working again that is.... I got to stop having ideas!

Very possible and easy to do

Even lip synced with real audio looking just like there saying what the audio says, with full expression's to, look at this, I just did this a couple mins ago, all my expression's. Meaning I animated them. Look at the level of real detail, I love it.

He will be a kid in my game who has plenty of funny dialog.

Yes, I will own them, I can actually render out some pretty decent images from blender with some lighting and some shader nodes, just with I could recreate that in AppGameKit!, I have not got to grips with PBR yet, I prefer the lowpoly cartoon look myself but it looks so flat and bland in the engine ... what I would give for a edge/cavity shader!

Ok so I now am just out porting the videos with perfect lip sync with sound and compressing the video file then playing the video on a sprite in game. it is high def and perfect lip sync. love this.

The only bad thing is you can only load and play one video at a time in appgamekit

He is just starting to turn into a zombie and is freaking out and in the next part he will be screaming up in pain.

That's one thing I have never done, video editing.... never, I know my way around most DAW's but not video editing suites, never touched them!

Maybe next year I'll become a YouTube shill and give up my dayjob! lol

I did make a cartoon in some Flash thing years ago but only for a remix I did taking the micky out of Craig David, the cartoon was naff but the tune was heavy!

Think I'll be loading up Reason for my game music, if I can remember how to use it! lol

This works as a self bot program.

just three things

A menu=easy
Loading and saving=half way finished
adding difficulty=I am not to sure yet lol.
