Houdi,

Above is what I have so far of my Lythis Body Model. I know some parts of it look 'harsh or rough' but when it's subpatched thats not a problem. Anywho, 3197 polys in quad form. This isn't a game model, it's more of my first attempt at a full body! I'm trying to get the geometery to flow like the acutal muscle. And as you can tell I have a LONG way to go There is some nudity, but hey, the Greeks of 500 bc taught us that the human figure is an art form unto it's self.

**So if your immature, keep your mouth shut or I'll break you in two!
And on a side note..I'm leaving for The mountains tomorrow..so I wont be back for 4 days or so. Just post away and I'll answer when I get back. But I'll be here for the rest of the night.

Now I'm interested in honest help..not really critism. All of you art buffs help!

How's the proportion?!
How's the geometery?
Is the geometery proportional to form.
Is she : hot? Ugly?
Where can I find some decent muscle charts?
What could I do to make her better as far as geometery/proportion goes?
Where is Arras when I need him?

?

There's a picture of the head with hair and some texture. Forgot to add that...

Is that really how you spell howdy?

anyway...

How's the proportion?!
Proportions look good. Although take a look at that first screenshot. I feel that her upper chest area needs to be widened up a little. Because, she's curvy from the feet up, then all of a sudden she's a straight line box.(no offense, of course)

How's the geometery?
Geometry looks good. It's obvious most of your polygons come from the head. I'd be interested in seeing a wireframe of the head, because most parts can be taken care of with a simple texture.

Is the geometery proportional to form.
From what I can tell yes.

Is she : hot? Ugly?
I'm not the kinda guy who lives on "hot" computer models, but I'd say she'd fit the beautiful role in a game.

Where can I find some decent muscle charts?
Well, I've only checked this link briefly but it may help a little.
http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=21515&b=3

What could I do to make her better as far as geometery/proportion goes?
Not much that I can say right now. Other than making her more curvy on her upper body.

Also, is it really necessary to have all the toes modeled out? Although, my "game" side of me is talking, just for future refrence it wouldn't be necessary to go into that much detail.(Same goes for the hands and lovely fingernails)

Where is Yellow when I need him?
Right here of course.

I'll look into some more links to help on proportion and so on.(Being a modeler myself.)

Bad Yellow bad!

Opinion about the chest noted. I did that on purpose, but it is sorta straight. BTW, I can spell Houdy anyway I please

Come on, it's 11:30.

Anyway, on anatomy

Not really sure what you mean on geometry proportion pictures, just do a search for anatomy on google.(*hint* Be careful with your search, tried myself and most the stuff I saw in search was just junk.)

I would also advise to download some models from [href].http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/anatomy.asp[/href]
Download them, then run them in Lightwave(I assume you used this ), and it'll give you a good idea of what your model should look like.(geometry and proportionally speaking)

the thing that is wrong is the thighs are too long and the chins
are too short you should switch them around.

Nothing is wrong with the chest on most women the chest is smaller
than the hips.

I noticed that the fingures are too bulgy, narrow at the joint wide between the joints. If you look at your own hands you'll notice that it's more or less a straight line without much noticable difference between joints.

This is a human anatomy site for artists, it may come in use.

looks okay. One thing that strikes me as odd is that the mesh density is really variable in some odd places. Also, theres a wierd spike on the foot.

Ahoy brent, I am here around of course, ready to critique your every model posted
Just remember that time here in old good Europe is bit diferent from that in States so I might be sleeping weel still afther late night party when you have your lunch

Well, back to your model and my critique ...hehe, in fact there is not much to critique since you do job quit well

Proportions are right as much as I can tell. Yellow is right about upper body but in my eyes this small disproportion make her kind of "elvish" look an gives her character so I would not change it.

Only thing i see wrong are knees, they should blend more smoothly to leg in upper part I think:

Geometry is totaly OK, just my head is shaking from all those wasted polygoons but since its not ingame model its OK too...

For her outlook yellow sad it the best:

"

From that screenshot of her head I would say she in preatty, but why did you do so big screenshot where head is so small? Can you perhaps provide us with bigger one?

As for decent muscle charts, I would try some medical related sites, but personaly I model useing reference photos from www.fineart.sk and [href]www.3d.sk[/href] I found their material suficient enough.

What could I do to make her better as far as geometery/proportion goes?

to answer that is hard since model is already good in my opinion. May be you can still try to keep your geometry more clean meaning to folow edgeloops and edgerings more precise and keeping away from useing too much polygoons at parts which are not that detailed.

So you are having Silvester party on mountains, right? Than I wish you Happy New Year and long ride tonight

Arras:

Thanks for your reply, my good man. I had fun in the mountains and I'm typing on a college computer at the moment. Thanks for the knee outline. That part was giving me some promblems...well lots of promblems really. And I haven't even begun to do detailing work on her calves or thighs. And that bump on her foot gets smoothed out when its subpatched. Take off your shoe! It's there...IT looks big there because the mesh isnt smoothed.

What exactly is a edgering? I'm familiar with the edgeloop but not the edge ring? Help me out here.

I've used the fineart.sk many a time...however my mother finds it to be very offensive..nevermind the fact I'm 18...

Froggerman:

It's the detail up method. Basically you use all the polys you need then clean mesh later. ASwell as make it more effecent.

Finaly I found good picture describing what edgering is. Its from Wings3D manual and its not great quality but do the job:

Well since you are 18 you dont have to tell your mother everything and since I think you alredy have idea about hove naked woman looks like I can higly recomend you fineart.sk I dont think there is something what can offend adult man...

She's got nice proportions, especially on the lower back, well crafted

One thing we will need if we are to comment further are wireframes closeups of the head. and maybe a smooth rendered shot would be nice.
