Whenever I use the paste command to put a bitmap on the screen, the quality of the image is horrible; much worse than the actual image. Any thoughts?

err but how do you get it onto the screen where you want it? I'm looking through the bitmap functions, and all I can see is commands to edit the stuff, I just want to put it on the stupid screen the way I drew it lol.

Use load image "image.bmp",1,1

The last ,1 is the texture flag, from the dbp help
Quote: "A Texture Flag of zero will treat the image as a texture and load to fill a texture surface in memory. A value of one will preserve the image without adding mipmaps, scaling or filtering and so retaining its pixel perfect quality"

maybe it's the screen settings - try

This should set the screen resolution as 800 (width), 600 (height) and 16 (depth). You may want to change the numbers to a better resolution (e.g. 1064 by 768) but don't make it too high resolution if you are making a game that you intend to be able to work on other people's computers.

Sorry if this post isn't very well explained... consequences of being on the computer at 20 to 1 in the morning.

Am I the only one here who's really confused?
