I need an inspiration for a game I could make. I can't think of anything. Does anyone have any ideas? I would prefer a First or Thrid person shooter .

EDIT: Futuristic & adventure games are cool too

Cheers

Oh, and:
@moderators: was I supposed to put this in the Team Request section? I wasn't asking for help coding or anything, just an idea. So I wasn't sure.

Sounds cool, Rage! I'll consider it. I like that kinda stuff. I've got a little problem, it's that I don't have an indoor level maker. But maybe I'll do it the old-fashioned way.

Yes I have a very nice idea.

Are you interested in an totally unique arcade style shooter by any chance? It could be 2 or 3 dimensional, either would work.

Think in classic arcade style. The closest mainstream game it would be compared to is Joust.

Email me if interested.

You should make a Futuristic one like Rage already said... but with some adventure in it... Like traveling trough a landscape with a mission to destroy a nuclear reactor or something, but on your way you'll find out that the men who lived around the reactor are mutants or something... just put some story line and adventure in it and make the game changing all the time, you know... an earthquake blocks the path, a spaceship flies over and crashes nearby and all kinds of mutants jump out... keep the fun in it by giving the player something new

Hey

You could make a game where you have a character who has a suit that gets upgrades. You could make upgrades for beams or missiles or things like that. And of course have a world with different sections each with there own type of enemies.

It's just an idea.

When you really think about it, almost every halo style game boils down to the same thing, right? You are a charcater with a gun. You can pick up different guns, find things that help another aspect of your player, and your mission is to complete some sort of overall goal, like beating a boss, or destorying some sort of evil center.

The details of that plot are only limited to your creativity. That is why making games is so much fun, the only limit is your imagination.

Well, OK. Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to make a game called "Greenriver" that is a futurisitic FPS. There will be different types of enemies, including elite soldiers, ninjas , and mutants that are all part of an underground plan to smuggle bad goods out of the country. You fight them and sabotage their plan, with a few bonuses. There will all sorts of different kinds of levels. How's that sound?

BUT...
I still need suggestions on anything in the game, though! And cool ideas for the game?

sounds a bit oxymoronish to me...

You should place some empty vehicles in your levels, wich you can grab and use to fight the enemy's... like tanks, planes, ships, etc. This makes a game a lot more fun to play

You should be able to progress... get certain amounts of skill points for kills and when you have a certain amount of skill points then you go up a level and get to choose 1 skill type (e.g. accuracy, armour etc.) to improve in.

Am I the only one here who's really confused?

Hmm. Not a bad idea. That empty vehicle idea is a good one, if I can get it to work. I planned to make the player a multi-tasker, highly trained in all areas guy. But maybe, instead of progressing levels just by, like, pulling that last switch, you could progress in skill and only meet the boss (or whatever) when you get to a certain skill level! That would be good for the players. Nice idea, there.

@Darwin: I was using "goods" as a noun, so it made perfect sense.
