Hello Guys! i've been using 3ds Max 5.0 for quite a while because i intend to create models for my game but the problem is, " I DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE LIMBS". how can i make limbs? please because i can make a low-polygon model in Max but i dont know how they make limbs. Im quite confused, plz help!!!! i need it to create animated models in DBC.thx

Have you tried doing a google search for 3D Studio Max Animation Tutorials?

yes i've done that quite a no. of times. You see, i've tried linking objects and then animate them. Then i exported them into 3ds and x format. but DBC still wont recognized them, for example when i tried to append another .x or .3ds file of the the same type so that i can animate the 3d object's motion, it produces an error saying it cannot append object.

you create limb using the Link & Unlink Icon...
(press y) There are the little Chain icons in the top-left of the screen.

a limb must be a seperate object from the main object, you then click on the Link icon. Then you click on the object you want to be the child and hold then drag your mouse til its over the parent object.

release and you have a limb that DB will be happy to use

i have 3DS Max 5.0 as well... but im not seeing the link icon at all... is there something you have to enable first?

try to open the help pages to see what it looks like. But i know its a standard tool and you dont have to enable it. Just try to find an icon with square figures attached with a chain-thats the link icon!if you cant see all the icon adjust your screen resolution to 1200* something in order for all the icons to appear.
