As I reported over in the Classic forum so weeks ago, I've set up a YouTube channel to accompany the free Ebook I'm creating for Blender 3D modelling. I'm hoping it will be useful for those of you who'd like to add 3D modelling to your skill set. The whole endeavour is an ongoing process, but if you are interested, there are now 11 videos available and over 75 pages of the book. You can download the PDF book from my website (www.digital-skills.co.uk). Just click on the Blender button on the home page. You should find the YouTube videos by searching for @DSBlender on YouTube. If any of you are interested, I would greatly appreciate it if you subscribed to the YouTube channel (I have a whole 17 subscribers so far!).

meanwhile, the last couple of links to news items on your home page are missing the # sign and lead to non-existing pages.

Just in case anyone is wondering where this week's video has got to... I've changed the Friday release time from 00:15 to 22:30 (UK time) so it will be along as usual tonight. This one covers Object Origins.

@StargateQueen Thanks. Hope you are finding the videos useful. I'll be swapping over to Blender 4.3 starting around video 36.

With Blender moving on through to newer versions, from video number 36 I'll be using Blender 4.3. So far, there are no great changes required for the earlier videos -- just a few minor tweeks to the Blender interface.

Just to let anyone who's interested but not visited yet, the YouTube videos are now moving on to Edit Mode where we really start to control the details and shape of a mesh. You can find the videos by searching for @dsblender on YouTube. Oh, and it would be nice if you'd subscribe to the channel.

Now that we've covered quite a few of the basics in Blender, I'm starting a weekly modelling challenge on YouTube. The idea is that you should be able to build the suggested model using only what we've covered so far. There will be one possible solution for each challenge the following week.
