Hi, So I decided to buy the Studio version from Steam, thinking all should port over Ok. which they do for the most part, apart from Plugins. I seem
to be getting the following error.

'Failed to load plugin 'MyPlugin' required by this app, it may not be available for this platform'

Any clues anyone or pointers?

the latest Studio is 64-bit only so any 32-bit .dll's wont work.

my bet is that's the issue you're experiencing.

Thanks Virtual

Yeah I compiled as a 64 bit DLL it still comes back with the same message and yet in classic it works.

cheers Leo

PS Could it possibly be the void ReceiveAGKPtr and if so, what should the routine be called?

ah, that stuff is beyond me. i thought you meant that some Classic DLC DLL's weren't working in Studio (where they may be 32-bit only).

this is posted in Classic so i don't know if it could help. otherwise, Madbit and a couple of others that i know have done DLLs are on the AGK Discord server. perhaps ping them there or wait here for someone with more knowledge of such things to stop by?

good luck

The IDE can not see the plugin, make sure its in the right folder, if this were a 64v32 bit or command.txt issue the error message would be more like "the function is not available on this system bla bla"

I would say with 99% confidence that's its a path issue

EDIT: You did compile as Windows64.dll ....... right?

@Adambiser

Yes, the DLL is 64bit and the Windows64.txt has been updated to reflect

@Partimecoder

So the path is :- "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\AppGameKit Studio\Plugins" which is strange, considering it should be in the 64 bit folder of "C:\Program Files" more than
likely Steam.exe is 32bit.

Anyways, Thanks you two I'm going to stay with AGK2 classic
