WARP SPEED!
Good parallax effect. Plenty of depth. Looks 3D to me.
A good step up from the old 2 or3 layer mountain parallax.
BASIC appeared in May 1964. Lightning flashed, the wind roared and the Earth moved.
And nine months later I was born.
So here I am.
I am Basic.
Code is in my genes.

Thanks for the feedback, always appreciated!

Code wise it's nothing exceptional.. just plenty of tinkering ...

i think the closer/faster particles need to be a little bigger where they feel the size of snowflakes vs stars. otherwise, nice effect.

Wow, those look really good, especially the last one posted with subtle improvements. I like how the very back plane moves very slowly, one pixel column at a time - somehow that seems to add to the overall effect and enhance the closer planes with their faster movement. Did you make the graphics too, or is that from a graphics collection? In any case, that looks really neat. I wonder if a blurr effect on the closest stars / asteroids would look good, or if it would detract from the overall effect?

Thanks for the comments, always appreciated.

The graphics I found on the web, just to play with & modified them as required..

Here is the project folder with source & media for anyone who wants to experiment with it.

Regards,
