Hi,
I need your help because I'va got a problem with AGK. When exporting to html it used to work until today. When exporting I've got this message on the web page "Cannot load bytecode file because it was compiled with an old compiler".
I've read all post about this kind of problem. I've exported again with agk, erased Bycode file on my hard drive and on the ftp server. Nothing is working
My version of AppGameKit is V2024.08.15
I don't undestand what I can do to solve this...
Any helps will be great !
Thanks !

I've erased old datas on chrome and now I've got this message : "Uncaught Error: : https://starbuzzz51.fr/AGKPlayer.data". It's strange too because my files are on a ftp server...

Ok, it's working now but it seems it could be a problem.
I've put all my files in a directory on my ftp server : "AGKplayer.js","AGKPlayer.asm.js","AGKPlayer.html.mem". In this directory there is the directory "media" with all my datas.
I've edited the html page to add the name of the directory for these 3 files...
But the "AGKplayer.data" must be in the root directory and no in the directory of my web app.
The problem was that this file was in the directory of my app but when it is in the root directory "www" of my ftp server, it's working... Ok, cool. But if I want to add a new app on my server, the AGKplayer.data will be the same for my two apps ?? :/ I don't know how to avoid this problem :/

I don't have a HTML export handy right now, but I would recommend putting each game into its own folder. Then you can rename the "AGKPlayer.html" file (or whatever it is called) to "index.html".

For example, if your folder is called "gameone" you would point your browser to:
https://starbuzzz51.fr/gameone/

This way you can have as many games/folders as you like.

This may be helpful or not, but when I was trying to export HTML5 from AppGameKit Studio, it stopped working in my browser one day even though it had been working prior up to that point in time. Strangely enough, all I did was reboot my computer and then it worked again, without changing any settings.

I'm not sure if this was a quirk with the browser, or the local web server, or AppGameKit Studio, or something else unknown. But in any case, a simple reboot solved the problem for me without changing any settings. I was running Windows 7, Studio version V2023.08.23, Vivaldi browser and Apache web server. A simple reboot might be worth a try.

edit: I had mispelled "Vivaldi" as "Vilvadi"
