in order to make a drive this size work correctly yall need a different fdisk found here.

no probs. its to do with the way the older versions calculate the divisions using a 16 bit register or something. anyway cheers and enjoy.

win2k is proberly the best bet for a win98 users forced to upgrade against their will.

2000 isn't bad, but it's very sluggish with its system tasks (NT series generally is, the tradeoff is the security) and it dosen't support DOS. 98se is the last decent Windows OS that natively supports DOS. I will always have at least one PC in my keeping with 98se installed on it .

Actually I don't think it has an inch on the more standard 40, 50, 60gb models... you'd have to be a very good trash stacker to get more than an ounce of extra trash on

By the way, isn't that a bit of an odd hobby ?

No, its ATA, not SATA (I presume anyway).

You can get a 300Gb HD (IDE) for £199, which is not too shabby.

Mr Flibble get a sole traders liscence and then get an ABN once u have these for a computer shop/studio you do away with paying retail for anything new ever again.
