something is wrong with my home page. I didn't change it but it used to be set to

http://www.toshiba.com

and somehow it got changed to

res://mshp.dll/index.html#10213

If I change it back to my old home page and open internet explorer again it works fine. But, if I open it a second time it is back to
res://mshp.dll/index.html#10213
I've noticed that I can switch my home page to any address and as soon as I open internet explorer, it takes me to my home page but at the same time it switches. Also, in properties if I click use default, my default page is
res://mshp.dll/index.html#10213
so I was wondering if any one knows were a file containing the default home page is located, so that I can change it.

Pheo you installed anything recently? ... oftenly if you install or visit pages with malicious script this happens.

easiest way to fix it is to go into
Tool//Internet Options//[Programs]//>Reset Web Settings<

it should return your settings back to default Microsoft; then all you need to do is change the homepage again and apply

also
Tool//Internet Options//[Advanced]//>Restore Defaults<

should also disable the scripts that are causing the problems...
this is why i tend to use Mozilla when i visit sites that aren't certificated, Explorer doesn't catch malicious scripts often and i don't care if Mozilla gets screwed up

if the problem exists beyond spybot and adaware then you may have something nasty called a transponder. The Winches advice is required if so and theres another page you should check as well.
