I dont know how to upload music from the files that came with darkbasic. i want to upload boss from the fantasy section. how can i post this in my game?!?

then to use it

play music 1
loop music 1

i cant get it to load in. the file name is Boss and its a midi file. how should that look? the music came with DB

As Bishop said,

LOAD MUSIC "boss.midi",1

and

PLAY MUSIC 1

or

LOOP MUSIC 1

should work. Maybe try upgrading to DarkBASIC 1.13 if you haven't.
Are you using Classic or Pro?

i have no idea why that wouldn't work unless you don't have your sound system working properly.....do other audio programs work?

Its "boss.mid" not "boss.midi", get your file extensions right.

And if that don't work then make sur eyou have the directory right so..

Load Music "c:/program files/darkbasic/boss.mid", 1 (or whatevr the directory is for the midi)

play music 1

If i ain't here, i'm probably playing DOA2 Hardcore on the PS2

Oops... typo. And this probably won't solve anything, but is your sound card really really out of date, or do you have an updated version of directx?

How many computers have you tried it on? It is probably something wrong with the person's system if it works on most others.

the games work fine but the music just wont play. ive tried 3 other peoples comps

this is just a stab in the dark....but it solved my sound /music probs

try

load sound
play sound

sometimes you need "sound" instead of "music" i havent delt with midi
so i dont know about that one. i know wav is sound and mp3 is music
