Just what it says, how would you go about making avi? would you kinda do it like you would taking screenshots frame by frame and put them together using some sort of program or is there a way to make them more easily than that?

You could even program it yourself, using the get image command, then saving it using the save image command, downloading the trial version of fast movie processor (FMP) and then compiling the images to an avi file

That's how I create my own game-movies (cut-scenes)

If you mean making an avi of your game models, use 3ds max and render to an avi file. If you want to record your game, there are programs like adobe premiere and many others which can record the screen output to an avi (so you'ld just have to hit record to record your game.)

@DBeirne - i don't have 3ds max, and i don't have the money to buy programs like adobe premiere or others...

A simple way would be to use FRAPS (free to try, $29.95 to buy).

I use it for in-game cut scenes, and get good results from it. Plus it's really easy to use. - you can download a demo of it from:http://www.fraps.com

Milkshape lets you record animations as avi. I have not used this feature yet but Its there. Mlikshape also lets you create models and animate them so yo dont have to keep switching sowftware to do 2 or three things. Get it at http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft . To use the feature just right click and select save as avi.

Alienware area 51/radeon 9800 pro 256mb/sound blaster audigy 2/5.1 surround sound speakers.
